Geneva Demonstration: Iranian Resistance Supporters Protest the Presence of Iran's Regime Representatives at the UN – December 13, 2023

The victory of the Iranian Resistance and the cancellation of the presence of the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi in the UN

Geneva, Switzerland—December 13, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a demonstration in front of the United Nations headquarters to protest the presence of the mullahs’ regime delegation in the Refugee Forum.

Iranians objected to the pre-announced presence of Ebrahim Raisi at the United Nations Refugee Forum, which was canceled by the Mullahs’ regime following up on and filing a complaint in the Swiss court against Raisi for crimes against humanity. Raisi is one of the main perpetrators behind the massacre of 30,000 Iranian political prisoners in 1988. Iranians have declared that the regime’s presence is an affront to human rights, the sacred right of asylum, and a blemish on the reputation of the United Nations.

Freedom-loving Iranians wrote on their banners in front of the Refugee Forum in Geneva:

The presence of Ebrahim Raisi, a criminal who participated in the 1988 massacre, is an insult to humanity, the United Nations, and the people of Iran.
Ebrahim Raisi, the perpetrator of the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, should be arrested and tried in court.

The slogans of the compatriots in front of the hotel where the mullahs’ regime delegation is staying in Geneva:
“Death to Khamenei“, “Damn to Khomeini”, “Raisi, the executioner of 1988”.

In addition, the Iranian Resistance supporters in Geneva urged the international community to support the Iranian Revolution and take a firm stance against the oppressive regime of the mullahs.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) sent a message to the rally. Mrs. Rajavi said:

Dear Compatriots,
Your victorious movement imposed a great retreat on the regime’s supreme leader.
He failed to send his executioner president to the European capital of the United Nations.
He wanted to gain legitimacy for the most hated and infamous political official in the world today, but you defeated and humiliated him.
Appeasers opened the doors to the executioner sent by Khamenei; you closed the doors to him.
The sacrifice of 30,000 affiliates of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and other militants in 1988 has shown that the spirit of resistance against the regime’s leaders cannot be quenched.
Your political, international, and legal campaign, fueled by the determination in your hearts and wills, along with the global solidarity you carried out in just a few days, has demonstrated the strength and resilience of the Iranian people, as well as the feebleness of the ruling anti-human regime.
Khamenei, Raisi, the executioner, and all the murderers appointed at the head of government institutions, derive their power from torture chambers or from killing defenseless protesters. But your strength is the eternal strength of the Iranian people and the greatness of national and international solidarity. And it is your power that will surely overthrow the mullahs.
Let me emphasize that Khamenei’s retreat in the face of the freedom movement of the Iranian people does not wash away the shame and ugliness of the decision of those who wanted to allow an executioner to address the meeting of the UN Global Refugee Forum.
Hail to the MEK and the NCRI, to the Resistance’s supporters, to jurists and political figures who support the resistance, and who are standing firm like a mountain against these back-channel deals.
The justice movement for the massacred victims and Resistance supporters will remain always vigilant and until the day Khamenei and the leaders of this regime are brought to trial.
And together with the Resistance Units, they will sweep the religious tyranny from all over Iran.
Salute to Martyrs,
Hail to Freedom

In this demonstration, representatives of Iranian communities and political figures also delivered speeches to the demonstrators
