On December 16, 2023, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized rallies and exhibitions in Vancouver, Hanover, Bologna, Sydney, and Melbourne to express support for the Iranian Revolution. These events also served as a platform to condemn the recent wave of brutal executions in Iran and demand the prosecution of mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi. Raisi is notorious for his pivotal role in the 1988 massacre, during which more than 30,000 political prisoners were executed by the mullahs’ regime in Iran prisons across the country.
Furthermore, Iranians called on the international community to prosecute the mullahs’ regime leaders, especially supreme leader Ali Khamenei, the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi and the regimes’ judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei, for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
The Iranian communities in Vancouver, Hanover, Bologna, Sydney, and Melbourne emphasized the Iranian people seeking a democratic republic and rejecting any kind of dictatorship, be it the mullahs or a return to that of Shah’s regime.
In addition, the Iranian Resistance supporters in Vancouver, Hanover, Bologna, Sydney, and Melbourne urged the international community to support the Iran Revolution and take a firm stance against the oppressive regime of the mullahs.
They asked the international community to recognize the right of self-defense of the Iranian people against the religious dictatorship.
Iranian communities in Vancouver, Hanover, Bologna, Sydney, and Melbourne are demanding that the Canadian and Australian governments, as well as the EU, designate Iran’s regime, the IRGC, as a terrorist organization. This call is a response to the IRGC‘s terrorist and warmongering activities, as well as its involvement in crimes and repression against the Iranian people and protesters.
