Iranian Academics in Winchester Host Book Exhibition to Condemn Human Rights Violations and Call for Justice in Iran

Winchester – September 24, 2024

On September 24, 2024, freedom-loving Iranians and academics in England, who support the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a book exhibition in Winchester. The event aimed to condemn human rights violations in Iran and express solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.

The event, which took place in Winchester, aimed to raise awareness about the human rights situation in Iran and the plight of political prisoners facing death sentences. They called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the prisons of the mullahs’ regime in Iran.

The exhibition also urged the UK government to officially designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization. Members of Southampton’s Iranian community called for the prosecution of the regime’s leaders in international courts for crimes against humanity.

Additionally, the academics demanded justice, tougher sanctions on the regime, and recognition of the Iranian people’s right to self-defense.

The exhibition was well-received by a wide range of people in Winchester.
