New York—September 19-20, 2024: Protest Rally by MEK Supporters Against the Presence of the Mullahs’ President Pezeshkian at the UNGA

New York Rally – September 19, 2024

New York—September 19-20, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a protest rally in front of the UN against the mullahs’ regime’s crimes, demanding the UN hold Iran’s regime leaders, including its president, Masoud Pezeshkian, accountable for the 1988 Massacre and a wave of brutal executions in Iran.

Members of the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) from across the United States have initiated a one-week campaign in New York to protest against Masoud Pezeshkian and his presence at the UNGA.

Reuters reported on the gathering of supporters of the Iranian Resistance, the National Council of Resistance, and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran in New York, protesting the visit of the appointed president of the mullahs’ regime, and wrote:  Iranian Americans and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran held a candlelight vigil outside the United Nations Headquarters to commemorate the pro-democracy demonstrators killed in protests against the government.

OIAC said on September 19: Last year’s ABC Nightline feature from the UNGA Protests in NYC. Join us this week across from the UN as we protest the Iranian regime and the executions of the Iranian people.

Supporters of the Iranian Resistance have invited all freedom-loving Iranians to join a large demonstration on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in front of the UN in New York. The protest aims to condemn the religious and terrorist dictatorship of the mullahs and their illegitimate president, and to call for an end to the policy of appeasement towards this regime. They urge the international community to support the Iranian people, their resistance, and the struggle for the freedom of Iran.
