New York—September 23, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a week-long protest rally in front of the UN, condemning the mullahs’ regime’s crimes and demanding that the UN hold Iran’s regime leaders, including its president, Masoud Pezeshkian, accountable for the 1988 Massacre and the recent wave of brutal executions in Iran.
On September 23, 2024, demonstrators continued the protest rally, stating: “The call for a free, democratic, and non-nuclear Iran resonates clearly in New York. The regime of the mullahs and its president, Pezeshkian, have executed nearly 180 people since August, while continuing to fund terrorist proxies.”
“Iranian Americans are protesting outside Pezeshkian’s hotel, denouncing his presence in New York City and his address to the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79).”
