MEK Supporters in Gothenburg Honor Martyrs of 2015 Camp Liberty Missile Attack

Gothenburg, October 29, 2024: Commemorating the martyrdom of 24 MEK members on October 29, 2015

Gothenburg, Sweden—October 29, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a rally to commemorate the martyrdom of 24 MEK members killed in a missile attack on Camp Liberty, Iraq, on October 29, 2015.

Raising the PMOI emblem and holding photos of the MEK martyrs, the demonstrators vowed to continue their fight until the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and the establishment of freedom in Iran.

It is worth mentioning that on October 29, 2015, Iranian regime proxies in Iraq carried out a massive rocket attack on Camp Liberty, where PMOI members were stationed, besieged and without means of defense. The attack resulted in the death of 24 PMOI members and the injury of hundreds of others.

The regime’s goal was to wipe out PMOI members and deliver a back-breaking blow to the Iranian opposition. But as has happened in the past, the massacre of PMOI members only strengthened their resolve to carry out the fight for freedom in Iran.

Today, all PMOI supporters honor the memory of the martyrs of the October 29 attack and vow to continue their path.
