Malmö, Sweden—November 9, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Malmö to hold a rally and exhibition in support of the Iranian Revolution and to protest the Iranian regime’s alarming increase in executions.
Participants expressed their solidarity with the Iranian Revolution, condemning the recent wave of executions and calling for the immediate release of all political prisoners. MEK supporters also demanded that the regime’s leaders be prosecuted in an international court for crimes against humanity and urged the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
The rally also highlighted the plight of Iranian women subjected to brutal repression under the pretext of enforcing the hijab. Protesters voiced their support for the courageous resistance of Iranian women against the regime’s oppression, rallying behind the slogan: “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”
The Iranian community in Malmö emphasized the Iranian people’s aspiration for a democratic republic, rejecting any form of dictatorship—whether the mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah‘s rule.
Protesters called for the recognition of the Iranian Resistance and the right of the Iranian people, along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran, to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship
