Stockholm, November 2, 2024: MEK Supporters Rally to Honor Martyrs of 2015 Camp Liberty Missile Attack

Stockholm, Sweden—November 2, 2024

Stockholm, Sweden—November 2, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a rally to commemorate the martyrdom of 24 MEK members killed in a missile attack on Camp Liberty, Iraq, on October 29, 2015.

Raising the PMOI emblem and holding photos of the MEK martyrs, the demonstrators vowed to continue their fight until the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and the establishment of freedom in Iran.

It is worth mentioning that on October 29, 2015, Iranian regime proxies in Iraq carried out a massive rocket attack on Camp Liberty, where PMOI members were stationed, besieged and without means of defense. The attack resulted in the death of 24 PMOI members and the injury of hundreds of others.

Iranian Resistance supporters expressed their solidarity with the Iranian Revolution. The event also protested the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the regime’s prisons in Iran.

MEK supporters in Stockholm demanded the trial of the mullahs’ regime leaders for crimes against humanity in an international court.

The Iranian community in Stockholm emphasized the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic republic and their rejection of any form of dictatorship, whether under the mullahs or a return to the Shah’s regime.

Additionally, they called on the international community to recognize the resistance and the right of the Iranian people and the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
