Utrecht, the Netherlands—November 9, 2024

Utrecht, the Netherlands—November 9, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a rally to condemn the crimes of the Iranian regime and express their support for the democratic alternative represented by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.

The Iranian community in Utrecht protested against the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime, called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the regime’s prisons, and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian Revolution. Supporters of the MEK in Utrecht also demanded the trial of the mullahs’ regime leaders for crimes against humanity in an international court.

Participants at the rally in Utrecht, the Netherlands, called for an end to Sweden’s policy of appeasement towards the Iranian regime and demanded that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be designated as a terrorist organization.

Freedom-loving Iranians in Utrecht emphasized the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic republic and rejection of any kind of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah’s regime.

They demanded recognition of the resistance and the right of the Iranian people and the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
