Brussels, Belgium—December 9, 2024: On the eve of the occasion of Human Rights Day (Dec 10), freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in a rally to protest human rights violations in Iran, particularly against Iranian women. They strongly condemned the death sentences imposed on six political prisoners associated with the PMOI.
Participants in the event expressed their solidarity with the ongoing Iranian Revolution. They chanted slogans such as “Today Syria, Tomorrow Iran” and “Today Assad, Tomorrow Khamenei,” while expressing solidarity with the Syrian people and celebrating the fall of the dictator, referring to the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s dictatorship in Syria.
The Iranian community in Brussels declared their support for a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship, including the mullahs’ regime and any potential return to the Shah’s rule.
The group specifically called for the closure of the mullahs’ embassy in Belgium and advocated for the blacklisting of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Additionally, they highlighted the critical role of recognizing the Iranian people’s resistance and the contributions of the MEK Resistance Units within Iran in their fight against tyranny and dictatorship. They affirmed the Iranian people’s right to defend themselves in this struggle.
