Iranians in Bucharest Hold Exhibition to Condemn Human Rights Violations and Advocate for Democracy in Iran

Bucharest, Romania—December 21, 2024

Bucharest, Romania—December 21, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized an exhibition to express solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and to condemn the Iranian regime’s increasing reliance on executions.

The event highlighted the escalating human rights violations in Iran and condemned the death sentences imposed on political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI. MEK supporters in Bucharest called for an international court to try the leaders of the mullahs’ regime for crimes against humanity.

Iranians in Bucharest emphasized their desire for a democratic republic, rejecting any form of dictatorship—whether under the mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah’s rule.

Additionally, they urged the international community to recognize the Iranian people’s resistance and to support the right of MEK Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
