UK, December 5, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and academics in England supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized an exhibition in Manchester to condemn human rights violations in Iran and express solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.
The event highlighted the critical human rights situation in Iran, emphasizing the plight of political prisoners facing death sentences. It called for the immediate release of all political prisoners detained by the mullahs’ regime and protested the death sentences of six political prisoners affiliated with the PMOI. They also commemorated Student Day in Iran as a symbol of resistance and sacrifice.
The exhibition also urged the UK government to formally designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, described as a center for espionage and terror.
The Academics In Exile Association stated on the X platform: “Manchester hosts a bookstall and exhibition by the Academics in Exile Association in solidarity with Political Prisoners and in protest against torture and executions in Iran, marking Student Day.”
