Californian, Los Angeles (Santa Monica)—December 14, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a book exhibition and protested against the rising wave of executions carried out by the Iranian regime, supporting the ‘No to Execution’ campaign against Iran’s regime. They called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held in the regime’s prisons in Iran and protested the sentencing of six political prisoners associated with the PMOI to death.
They demanded recognition of the resistance and the right of the Iranian people, along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran, to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
In addition, Iranians in Los Angeles (Santa Monica) emphasized the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic republic and their rejection of any form of dictatorship, whether it be the mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah’s rule.
California Society for Democracy in Iran (CSDI) stated on the X platform: “Today in Los Angeles, Santa Monica: Our community members educated the public about the atrocities of the Iranian regime and record breaking executions have been taking place under Pezeshkian. Iran regime must hold accountable for their crimes! Many political prisoners are under execution threat in Iran including 9 supporters of the main opposition MEK .”
