Paris, France—December 18, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a book exhibition to raise awareness about the plight of political prisoners in Iran.
The event aimed to draw attention to the harsh conditions faced by those imprisoned for opposing the Iranian regime and to highlight the broader struggle for democracy and human rights in the country.
The exhibition displayed books, photographs, and materials documenting the experiences of political prisoners and the systemic oppression they face. These resources offered attendees insight into the challenges endured by those who resist the regime. Participants emphasized the need to amplify the voices of political prisoners and bring international attention to their situation.
This gathering followed a similar event on December 17, as well as previous days and weeks, where MEK supporters protested death sentences imposed on six political prisoners associated with the organization. Like that event, the exhibition in Paris sought to spotlight the ongoing human rights violations in Iran and to urge the international community to hold the Iranian government accountable.
Organizers called on European nations to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to take stronger action against the regime’s violations.
French attendees expressed solidarity with the Iranian people, reaffirming support for the global movement for justice and human rights.
The event reinforced calls for justice and recognition of the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, particularly those enduring imprisonment for their dissent.
