Winchester Exhibition by Academics in Exile: Supporting Iranian Political Prisoners Facing Execution – December 16, 2024

Winchester, England—December 16, 2024

Winchester, England—December 16, 2024: Members of the Academics in Exile Association, who support the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)), organized a book exhibition to condemn human rights violations in Iran.

The event emphasized the critical situation, particularly the plight of political prisoners facing death sentences, and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners held by the mullahs’ regime.

The exhibition also urged the UK government to officially designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, described as a hub of espionage and terror. Members of Winchester’s Iranian community called for the international prosecution of Iran’s leaders for crimes against humanity.

The Academics In Exile Association stated on the X platform: “Six political prisoners in Iran face imminent execution. Stand against injustice and demand Human Rights. Raise your voice to Stop Executions In Iran and support freedom! Together, we can save lives.”

Additionally, the academics called for justice, tougher sanctions on the regime, and recognition of the Iranian people’s right to self-defense.

The exhibition was well-received by a diverse audience in Winchester.
