Gothenburg, Sweden — January 11, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered to protest against the regime of the mullahs. They expressed their support for the Iranian Resistance, led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her Ten-Point Plan for the future of Iran.
During the rally, freedom-loving Iranians demanded the closure of the Iranian mullahs’ embassy in Sweden and called for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to be designated as a terrorist organization.
They condemned ongoing human rights violations and the death sentences imposed on political prisoners by the regime. The event underscored the urgent need for international action against these injustices and highlighted solidarity with political prisoners in Iran.
The event highlighted the need for international recognition of the Iranian resistance movement and affirmed the right of the Iranian people, along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran, to defend themselves in their ongoing struggle against tyranny and dictatorship. Participants expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.
Additionally, MEK supporters in Gothenburg emphasized the Iranian people’s aspirations for a democratic republic, unequivocally rejecting both the current mullahs’ regime and any return to monarchical rule under the Shah.
