Sweden, Gothenburg – January 25, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally to protest the death sentences of political prisoners associated with the PMOI, particularly Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, who face imminent execution. Iranians also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners.
Participants expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and urged the Swedish government to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, labeling it a center of terrorism and espionage.
Iranians in Gothenburg emphasized their commitment to establishing a democratic republic and rejected all forms of dictatorship, whether the ruling mullahs’ regime or a return to the Shah’s rule.
Additionally, they called for international recognition of the Iranian people’s resistance and their right—along with the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran—to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
