Rally in Washington, DC for a Free Iran on March 8, 2025

Washington, DC – February 10, 2025 – A powerful call for justice, freedom, and human rights is set to echo through the streets of Washington, DC, where Iranian Resistance supporters, human rights defenders, and Iranian communities will gather for the 2025 Rally to Support a Free Iran.

This demonstration is organized by the Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC). Scheduled for Saturday, March 8, at 1 PM, the event will coincide with International Women’s Day, a fitting occasion to highlight the ongoing struggle for women’s rights and political freedom in Iran.

Under the rallying cry of “Women, Resistance, Freedom”, demonstrators will march in solidarity with the brave Iranian people who have long endured oppression and tyranny. Organizers of the event emphasize the need to shed light on the Iranian regime’s violations, including harsh crackdowns on dissent, wrongful imprisonments, and continued executions.

A Stand Against Injustice

The rally will feature speeches from prominent human rights activists, former political prisoners, and members of the U.S. Congress who have championed the cause of Iranian democracy. Protesters will hold banners and chant slogans demanding an end to executions, gender-based oppression, and the suppression of political opposition.

A central theme of the event will be the stories of women in Iran, many of whom have been imprisoned, tortured, or killed for demanding their basic rights. The march will also pay tribute to those who have given their lives in the struggle for justice and honor those still behind bars for speaking out against the regime.

A Call to Action

Organizers encourage all freedom-loving people to attend and show their support. “This is a fight for justice, for human dignity, for a future where Iranian women and men can live without fear.”

“March 8th is a day of resistance, a day of hope. Let’s stand together and demand a free Iran.”

As the world watches, the demonstrators will march with determination, singing songs of freedom and chanting for change. With each step, they will reaffirm their belief that the walls of tyranny can and will be broken.

Join the rally, hear the plea, a free Iran is our decree!
