Iranian Resistance Supporters Protest at UN in Geneva, Denounce Regime’s Crimes, and Demand Regime Change in Iran

Geneva, Switzerland – March 18, 2025

Geneva, Switzerland – March 18, 2025: Supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI and MEK) gathered in Nations Square outside the UN headquarters in Geneva. The protest coincided with the session of the UN Human Rights Council, as demonstrators denounced the Iranian regime’s widespread human rights violations, particularly death sentences against political prisoners linked to the PMOI.

Participants demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners and called on the UN, the Human Rights Council, and member states to refer the Iranian regime’s crimes to the UN Security Council. They urged accountability for the regime’s leaders and advocated for an international tribunal to prosecute them for crimes against humanity.

The rally also underscored the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting all forms of dictatorship—whether under the current theocratic regime or a return to the Shah’s rule. Protesters expressed support for the democratic alternative led by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and called for international recognition of the Iranian Resistance and the MEK Resistance Units fighting for freedom inside Iran.

The event strongly condemned the regime’s brutal repression of Iranian women, particularly the forced hijab laws, and highlighted the courageous resistance of Iranian women against oppression. Demonstrators chanted the slogan: “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

Through their powerful presence, protesters sent a clear message to the international community: Stand firm against the Iranian regime and support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, democracy, and justice.
