Stockholm, April 19, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held a demonstration in Stockholm to commemorate the fallen heroes of April 19, 1972, and 1975. These dates mark the execution of 13 brave members of Iran’s opposition by the Shah‘s regime, remembered by Iranians as “30 Farvardin.”
Participants honored the memory of political prisoners who lost their lives under both the Shah’s SAVAK and the clerical regime that followed. Large portraits of these martyrs were displayed as a powerful tribute to Iran’s enduring fight for freedom and justice.
More than a remembrance, the rallies served as a declaration of continued resistance and hope. Speakers and participants emphasized growing support among the Iranian diaspora for the NCRI’s democratic platform, especially the ten-point plan of NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi, which envisions a secular, democratic republic based on human rights, gender equality, and freedom for all Iranians.
The gathering also expressed solidarity with the Resistance Units inside Iran, highlighting a unified vision for the country’s future.
In her message to the global gatherings, Maryam Rajavi stated:
“No to the Shah, no to the Mullahs — victory to the democratic revolution of the Iranian people. The blood spilled under both dictatorships has charted a path toward a democratic republic that can no longer be ignored.”
