Melbourne, Australia – April 4, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an exhibition in Melbourne to raise awareness about the escalating human rights violations perpetrated by the Iranian regime. The event served as a powerful show of solidarity with the ongoing Iranian Revolution, placing particular emphasis on the surge in executions of political prisoners.
The exhibition revealed the brutal realities faced by PMOI members and other political detainees, many of whom face unjust death sentence. Among them are Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, both at imminent risk of execution.
Members of Melbourne’s Iranian community voiced their support for establishing a democratic republic in Iran, firmly rejecting all forms of dictatorship—including both the theocratic rule of the mullahs and any return to monarchical rule under the Shah.
The group called for the closure of the Iranian regime’s embassy in Australia and urged the Australian government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
Speakers and attendees also underscored the significance of recognizing the Iranian people’s resistance—particularly the efforts of the MEK Resistance Units operating inside Iran—in their continued fight against oppression. They reaffirmed the Iranian people’s right to defend themselves in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.
Australian visitors to the exhibition expressed their solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle, voicing support for democracy, human rights, and an end to the regime’s brutality.
