Basel, Switzerland Exhibition Sheds Light on Iran’s Human Rights Crisis and Resistance Movement

Basel, Switzerland – May 7, 2024

Basel, Switzerland – May 7, 2024: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized an exhibition to raise awareness about the escalating human rights crisis in Iran, with a particular focus on the alarming rise in executions of political prisoners.

The exhibition showcased visual displays and information panels chronicling decades of repression by the Iranian regime, including recent death sentence imposed on political prisoners—many affiliated with the PMOI. Organizers urged the formation of an international tribunal to hold regime officials accountable for crimes against humanity.

Throughout the event, participants voiced strong support for the ongoing Iranian Revolution and reaffirmed their commitment to establishing a democratic republic in Iran. They rejected both the current religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy, underscoring the need for a secular and democratic alternative.

The event concluded with a call to the international community to recognize the legitimacy of the Iranian people’s resistance and to support the MEK Resistance Units in their continued struggle for freedom and justice within Iran.

Swiss citizens attending the exhibition signed a petition expressing solidarity with the nationwide uprising in Iran.
