Bern, Switzerland – May 8, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized an exhibition in Bern to protest the Iranian regime’s harsh repression, particularly the death sentences issued for political prisoners Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, who reportedly face imminent execution.
Demonstrators called for the immediate abolition of these death sentences and the unconditional release of all political prisoners in Iran. They condemned the regime’s continued human rights abuses and expressed solidarity with the Iranian people’s movement for democratic change.
Protesters urged the Swiss government to take decisive action—specifically, to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy in Bern and to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
The organizers reaffirmed their vision of a democratic, secular republic in Iran, clearly rejecting all forms of dictatorship, whether under the current religious regime or any return to monarchy.
They also called for international recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist oppression, emphasizing support for the MEK Resistance Units and their struggle inside Iran against tyranny and dictatorship.
