
Sydney, Australia – June 7, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied to support the “No to Executions” campaign in Iran, denounce the death penalty, demand the release of political prisoners, and highlight the Iranian regime’s escalating human rights abuses.
The demonstrators, who share your interest in international human rights issues, voiced strong opposition to the regime’s continued oppression and expressed unwavering support for the Iranian people’s fight for democratic change.
The demonstrators also called for the leaders of the mullahs’ regime to be tried in an international court for crimes against humanity. Furthermore, they voiced their support for the nationwide strike by truck drivers in Iran.
The rally honored those who sacrificed their lives during the Iranian revolution—individuals executed by the regime or killed in popular uprisings—while reaffirming the participants’ commitment to freedom, democracy, justice, and human rights.
Iranians in Sydney reiterated their dedication to establishing a democratic republic, rejecting any form of dictatorship, whether from the current theocratic regime or a return to monarchy.
They also appealed to the international community to acknowledge the Iranian people’s resistance and the right of the MEK Resistance Units within Iran to defend themselves in their struggle against tyranny.
