July 27, 2025 — Outrage continues to mount after the Iranian regime executed two political prisoners—Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, both members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). As news of the executions spread, Iranian communities and supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) expanded their protests across the globe.

Protests Expand to North America

In the United States, Iranian Americans and their supporters staged powerful protests:

• In Washington, D.C., demonstrators gathered in front of the White House, calling the executions “cold-blooded murders” and demanding a stronger U.S. stance. Protesters carried signs reading “Stop Executions in Iran” and “Silence is Not an Option.”

• In San Francisco, demonstrators raised their voices in a public rally:

  “Stop executions in Iran—now, now, now!”

  This gathering came in response to the executions of #MehdiHassani and #BehrouzEhsani, both PMOI members who, as participants said, “resisted dictatorship with courage.”
  Protesters demanded urgent international action, warning that silence only emboldens the regime.

• In Southern California, Los Angeles, freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Southern California held a protest rally condemning the execution of #Mehdi_Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani by the criminal clerical regime.
  They called on the international community to take immediate action to save the lives of political prisoners, especially those currently on death row.

• In Dallas, the Iranian-American community held a same-day protest on July 27, 2025, condemning the regime’s brutal executions of two PMOI political prisoners.

  “These men were executed simply for saying ‘No’ to tyranny and ‘Yes’ to freedom,” said one protester.

• In Canada, rallies were held in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Winnipeg. Protesters stood in solidarity with the victims and demanded that the Canadian government:
• Officially condemn the executions,
• Freeze diplomatic relations with the regime,
• Push for the release of all political prisoners, especially those at risk of imminent execution.

On Sunday, July 27, 2025, MEK supporters in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Winnipeg held urgent demonstrations condemning what they described as the abrupt and brutal execution of the two Mojahedin members and political prisoners Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani after years of torture and imprisonment.

They emphasized that the executions were carried out without the families’ knowledge or the opportunity to see their loved ones one last time. Protesters called on the international community to take real, meaningful measures to prevent another massacre, warning that 14 other political prisoners remain on death row in Iran.

“This was a calculated act of terror by the regime,” one demonstrator posted on social media. “The world must not wait for more blood to be shed before it acts.”

Demonstrations Continue Across Northern Europe

New protests also erupted across Northern Europe, with Iranian communities making their voices heard:

• In Stockholm, demonstrators gathered outside Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemning the executions and urging the Swedish government to hold the regime accountable.

• In Oslo, Copenhagen, Brussels, and Hamburg, protests took place in front of Iranian embassies or consulates, where participants lit candles for the executed prisoners and demanded an end to state-sponsored repression.

In all locations, chants of “Down with the Dictatorship,” “No to Execution,” and “Free All Political Prisoners” echoed through the streets. Protesters emphasized that these executions were not isolated acts, but part of a systematic campaign of political terror by the regime. They warned that 14 other political prisoners, many of them PMOI members, remain on death row and are in immediate danger.

A Renewed International Call

As protests spread across continents, Iranian expatriates and human rights advocates issued a renewed appeal to the international community, urging:

• Immediate annulment of all death sentences for political prisoners and the complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran,
• Unconditional and immediate release of all political prisoners,
• Immediate condemnation of the executions by democratic governments, UN, and human rights defenders,
• Stronger diplomatic and economic pressure on the Iranian regime,
• Deployment of an international fact-finding mission to investigate human rights violations in Iranian prisons.

“The regime thrives on silence and inaction,” said protesters. “The world must act now. Every moment of delay is complicity in these crimes.”

Supporters of the Iranian Resistance also demanded the prosecution of the regime’s top leaders for crimes against humanity in international courts. They expressed their strong support for the ongoing struggle of the MEK’s Resistance Units inside Iran, fighting to establish freedom and a democratic republic—free from both the former monarchical dictatorship of the Shah and the current religious terrorist dictatorship of the mullahs.

These demonstrations are not only a response to state brutality but part of a growing international movement to amplify the voice of the Iranian people in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and dignity.
