Second Day of Protest in Oslo After Execution of MEK Members Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani
Oslo, Norway — July 28, 2025
For the second consecutive day, freedom-loving Iranians gathered outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in Oslo, voicing outrage over the recent execution of two political prisoners—Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani—both members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
Protesters held up photos of the victims and chanted:
“The regime’s atrocities must stop—global silence fuels their crimes!”
The demonstration was a clear call to the international community to break its silence and take firm action. Protesters urged:
-
Immediate annulment of all death sentences for political prisoners and the complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran,
-
Unconditional and immediate release of all political prisoners,
-
Immediate condemnation of the executions by the Norwegian government,
-
Stronger diplomatic and economic pressure on the Iranian regime,
-
Deployment of an international fact-finding mission to investigate human rights violations in Iranian prisons.
“The regime thrives on silence and inaction,” said protesters. “The world must act now. Every moment of delay is complicity in these crimes.”
Supporters of the Iranian Resistance also demanded the prosecution of the regime’s top leaders for crimes against humanity in international courts. They expressed their strong support for the ongoing struggle of the MEK’s Resistance Units inside Iran, fighting to establish freedom and a democratic republic—free from both the former monarchical dictatorship of the Shah and the current religious terrorist dictatorship of the mullahs.
These demonstrations are not only a response to state brutality but part of a growing international movement to amplify the voice of the Iranian people in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and dignity.
