Oslo, Norway – July 12, 2025 – Many members of the Iranian community in Oslo, supporters of the Iranian Resistance and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), gathered in the Norwegian capital to demand democratic change in Iran and denounce the regime’s brutal human rights violations, particularly the ongoing wave of executions.
Participants strongly condemned the mass executions carried out by the clerical regime and called for the immediate release of all political prisoners. They urged the international community to hold Iran’s leaders accountable for crimes against humanity by prosecuting them in international courts.
The rally emphasized support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its President-elect, Maryam Rajavi, whose “Third Option” offers a clear alternative: rejecting both war and appeasement while supporting a democratic, secular republic through the Iranian people’s organized resistance.
Speakers highlighted Rajavi’s 10-point plan as the only viable path to a free Iran, calling on world governments to officially recognize the NCRI as the legitimate democratic alternative to the regime.
Participants and speakers strongly rejected both the clerical regime and any form of monarchy, declaring that Iran’s future must be a secular, democratic republic, free from all forms of dictatorship.
Demonstrators also called attention to the right of Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves against repression, underscoring that the solution to Iran’s crisis lies in regime change by the Iranian people themselves—not foreign intervention.
Their unified message: Stop executions, free all political prisoners, and support Maryam Rajavi’s Third Option for a democratic Iran.
