Sydney, Australia – July 4, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an exhibition in front of the Parliament in Sydney to protest the Iranian regime and express support for a democratic alternative. Demonstrators endorsed the “Third Option” proposed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which advocates for democratic change led by the Iranian people and their organized resistance—rejecting both military intervention and appeasement.
Participants echoed Mrs. Rajavi’s message that the only viable solution for Iran is regime change by the people themselves, not through foreign military action or conciliatory diplomacy.
The exhibition organizers emphasized the PMOI’s vision for a free, democratic, and secular Iran, rejecting both the current theocratic regime and any return to monarchy.
Iranians also highlighted the regime’s ongoing human rights violations, including systematic torture and widespread use of the death penalty against prisoners of conscience. They called for international accountability and urged the prosecution of Iranian regime leaders in international courts for crimes against humanity.
Demonstrators further demanded recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny, including the right of MEK Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves against dictatorship and oppression.
