Salisbury, UK — July 25, 2025: In a powerful show of solidarity, the Academics in Exile Association held a bookstand and photo exhibition in Salisbury, Wiltshire, in support of Iran’s political prisoners and as part of its “No to Executions” campaign. The event highlighted the Iranian regime’s escalating use of executions, particularly against political prisoners affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
The exhibition drew widespread support from locals and members of the Iranian diaspora. Many signed petitions endorsing Maryam Rajavi’s “Third Option” — a democratic alternative to war or appeasement, calling for regime change by the Iranian people and their organized resistance under the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Attendees strongly condemned the regime’s human rights abuses, including torture and systematic executions. There was a clear call for the immediate release of political prisoners and for stronger international action. The event also urged the UK government to blacklist the IRGC and to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy in London.

With participants from Salisbury and beyond, and amid growing international momentum, the exhibition marked a pivotal moment for the Iranian democratic movement. The message was unmistakable: true change in Iran will come not through foreign intervention, but through the will of the people and their unified resistance.
