Hamburg, Germany – August 11, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied to protest the looming execution of five political prisoners in Iran: Vahid Bani-Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, Shahrokh Daneshvarkar, Mohammad Taghavi, and Babak Alipour. The Iranian regime has moved them to Ghezel Hesar Prison, a known execution site, putting their lives at immediate risk.
The rally also denounced the recent executions of PMOI members Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani, exposing the Iranian regime’s intensifying crackdown. Protesters expressed strong solidarity with the PMOI Resistance Units active in Iran and reaffirmed their commitment to a democratic republic grounded in freedom, equality, and secular governance, rejecting both theocracy and monarchy.
Protesters demanded:
- The complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran.
- The immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners.
- International recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny.
Freedom-loving Iranians in Hamburg voiced support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), to expand participation in the “No to Executions” campaign.
