Honoring Six Decades of Resilience: Iranians in Toronto Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the PMOI

Toronto, Canada – August 30, 2025: Freedom-Loving Iranians and MEK supporters gathered to mark the approaching 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). They paid tribute to the organization’s founders and martyrs who gave their lives in the pursuit of freedom, democracy, and justice for Iran.

In celebration of this milestone, MEK supporters in Toronto organized several events, including singing anthems, raising the Iranian flag alongside the emblem of the People’s Mojahedin Organization on the beach, and showering the portraits of the founders and the Mojahedin symbol with flower petals.

They honored six decades of the MEK’s unwavering resistance against both the Shah’s dictatorship and the clerical regime’s oppression, highlighting the organization’s leadership in the fight for a free, democratic, and secular republic in Iran.
