Winchester, UK – September 27, 2025

Winchester, UK – September 27, 2025: The Academics in Exile Association, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), organized a public bookstall and photo exhibition in Winchester to denounce the Iranian regime’s escalating executions and systematic human rights abuses.

Organizers called for the immediate abolition of all death sentences and the unconditional release of political prisoners. The event expressed strong solidarity with the the Iranian people’s ongoing struggle for justice and democratic change, and urged the international community to hold the regime’s leaders accountable for crimes against humanity.

Participants used the exhibition to call on the UK government to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC ) as a terrorist organization and to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy in London, labeling it a center of espionage and terror operations.

“Today in Winchester, on the anniversary of Oct 5, the bravery of students who fell for #Iran’s uprising was honored. Attendees signed a petition calling for Democracy & people’s rule in Iran.”
