Oslo, Norway – October 11, 2025 — On the second day of a two-day rally marking the World Day Against the Death Penalty, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) once again gathered outside the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The demonstration and photo exhibition, which began on October 10, continued for a second day as freedom-loving Iranians renewed their call for justice, human rights, and an end to executions in Iran.
The photo exhibition displayed images of martyrs of Iran’s uprisings and political prisoners who have been executed or face imminent execution, drawing attention from passersby and human rights advocates. Participants condemned the Iranian regime’s escalating wave of executions and demanded the abolition of the death penalty, the release of all prisoners on death row, and accountability for those responsible for crimes against humanity.
Global Campaign Against Executions
During the second day of the rally, demonstrators reiterated their support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her call to expand the global “No to Executions” campaign.
Demanding Justice and International Accountability
Speakers at the event, including Mr. Parviz Khazaei, the NCRI representative in Nordic countries, called for the prosecution of the Iranian regime’s leaders in an international tribunal for their decades-long record of executions and crimes against humanity.
Protesters also renewed their call on the Norwegian government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
Throughout the gathering, participants laid flowers and paid heartfelt tribute to the images of the martyrs of Iran’s uprisings, honoring their sacrifice for freedom and justice.
Call for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic
The rally concluded with renewed determination to continue the struggle for a free, democratic, and non-nuclear Iran. Demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They called on the international community to recognize the Iranian Resistance and support the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran in their ongoing fight for freedom, justice, and democracy.
