Manchester Exhibition Condemns Iran Regime Executions, Calls for Democratic Republic

Manchester, UK – October 2, 2025

Manchester, UK – October 2, 2025 – The Academics in Exile Association, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), held an exhibition and bookstall in Manchester to denounce the regime of Iran’s escalating executions of political prisoners. The event was organized in solidarity with the international “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign.

Condemning Executions and Torture

The exhibition strongly criticized the regime of Iran for issuing death sentences against political detainees and for its systematic use of torture and executions. Participants demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners.

Petition for a Democratic Republic and NCRI Alternative

Attendees signed a petition calling for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran. They also expressed support for the NCRI Alternative, highlighting it as a viable democratic solution for the country’s future.

Calls for UK Action Against the IRGC

Organizers urged the UK government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassy in London, described as a hub for espionage and terrorism.

Global Concern Over Human Rights Abuses

Members of the Iranian diaspora and local residents in Manchester echoed these demands, pressing for international legal action, stronger sanctions, and recognition of the Iranian people’s right to self-defense. The event drew attention from Manchester’s diverse community, underlining growing global concern over the regime of Iran’s human rights violations.
