MEK Supporters Rally in Hamburg: Defiant Stand for Qezel Hesar’s Striking Prisoners

Hamburg Rally Ignites Global Solidarity with Qezel Hesar’s Starving Prisoners

Hamburg, Germany – October 17, 2025 Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied in to stand in solidarity with over 1,500 death-row inmates at Qezel Hesar Prison, who have been on a continuing hunger strike.

Condemning the mullahs’ regime, they demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners, an end to executions in Iran, the abolition of the death penalty, an end to the impunity of regime leaders, and a free Iran — echoing the more than 1,200 documented executions this year alone.

Protesters highlighted individual cases of MEK-affiliated prisoners facing imminent hangings after torture and sham trials, urging the UN, German government, and global community to intervene swiftly: halt all executions, protect the inmates, and prosecute regime officials for crimes against humanity in international courts, breaking decades of impunity. They drew parallels to the 1988 massacre of up to 30,000 lives under the clerical regime.

The gathering backed NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi‘s “No to Executions” campaign for worldwide expansion, while reaffirming calls for regime change to a secular democratic republic—rejecting theocracy and monarchy alike—and support for MEK Resistance Units inside Iran fighting for justice.
This action amplifies the global outcry against Tehran’s “execution machine” as Qezel Hesar strikers defy threats. With 1988’s shadows lengthening, activists warn: silence invites atrocity. #StopExecutionsInIran.
