Rally in Brussels: Iranians Demand End to Executions and Support a Free Iran

Brussels, October 10, 2025

Marking the World Day Against the Death Penalty

On October 10, 2025, supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in Brussels to protest executions in Iran. The event, held at Schuman Roundabout, coincided with the World Day Against the Death Penalty.
It called for urgent international action to stop the regime’s systematic use of executions as a political weapon.

Condemning State-Sponsored Killings

Participants strongly condemned the Iranian regime’s brutality. They stressed that many innocent people, especially political prisoners, have lost their lives through state-sanctioned killings.
At least 17 political prisoners are now on death row under false charges. These cases show clear signs of torture and serious violations of fair trial standards.

Moreover, the demonstrators emphasized that true change in Iran can only come through steady resistance and global pressure. Their voices made it clear that silence only empowers oppression.

Support for Maryam Rajavi and the NCRI

Freedom-loving Iranians in Brussels also expressed their full support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
They echoed her call to expand the No to Executions campaign worldwide. In addition, they urged the international community to stand with the Iranian people’s movement for freedom and democracy.

Key Demands of the Protest

The demonstrators raised several urgent demands:

  • Immediate halt to all executions in Iran. The regime must stop using the death penalty to silence dissent.

  • Release of all political prisoners. Thousands remain unjustly jailed for opposing tyranny.

  • Accountability for human rights abuses. Global institutions should investigate and prosecute those responsible.

  • Closure of Iranian embassies worldwide. Diplomatic ties should be suspended until the regime respects human rights.

  • Blacklisting of the IRGC. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps must face international sanctions and isolation.

Furthermore, the crowd urged world leaders to recognize that the regime’s violence is not just internal. It threatens global peace and stability.

A Call for a Democratic Republic

The protesters reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic. They firmly rejected both the current religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy.
They highlighted the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran. These brave men and women continue to risk their lives for freedom, justice, and equality.

The Unbreakable Spirit of the Iranian People

Finally, the rally in Brussels showed the world the unbreakable spirit of Iranians and their organized Resistance.
As a result, the message was clear: only through unity, courage, and international solidarity can Iran achieve lasting freedom.
