Rally in Frankfurt Urges End to Iran’s Executions and Freedom for Political Prisoners

Frankfurt, Germany – October 11, 2025

Frankfurt, Germany – October 11, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Frankfurt to mark the World Day Against the Death Penalty. The demonstrators condemned the Iranian regime’s ongoing executions and called for the immediate abolition of the death penalty, the release of all political prisoners, and urgent international action to prevent imminent executions.

Highlighting Individual Cases and Urgent Appeals

Protesters specifically called attention to political prisoners Mohammad Javad Vafaei-Sani and Ehsan Faridi, who face imminent death sentences, along with 15 other MEK supporters at risk of execution. Demonstrators urged the United Nations, the German government, and the international community to act immediately to protect these prisoners. They recalled the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in the 1988 massacre in Iran by the clerical regime and, noting the continuation of executions in Iran, called for an end to the impunity of the regime’s leaders and agents and for their trial in an international court for crimes against humanity.

Global Campaign Against Executions

The rally also expressed support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her call to expand the global “No to Executions” campaign worldwide.

Call for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic

Demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and the establishment of a democratic government.
