Rally in Oslo Calls for an End to Iran’s Executions and Freedom for Political Prisoners

Oslo, Norway – October 10, 2025

Oslo, Norway – October 10, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered outside the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 10 to mark the World Day Against the Death Penalty. On this first day, a photo exhibition was displayed showing images of the martyrs of the Iranian uprisings and political prisoners who have been executed or face imminent execution.

The rally is scheduled to continue for a second day on October 11, with participants condemning the Iranian regime’s ongoing executions and calling for the abolition of the death penalty, release of all prisoners on death row, and accountability for the regime leaders responsible for these crimes.

Global Campaign Against Executions

Freedom-loving Iranians in Oslo voiced their support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her call to expand the global “No to Executions” campaign.

Demanding Justice and International Accountability

Demonstrators, including Mr. Parviz Khazaei, the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Nordic countries, urged the prosecution of the Iranian regime’s leaders for crimes against humanity in an international tribunal.

They also called on the Norwegian government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. Throughout the gathering, participants paid tribute and respect to the martyrs of the Iranian uprisings, honoring their sacrifice for freedom and justice.

During the rally, participants also laid flowers and paid heartfelt tribute to the images of the martyrs of the Iranian uprisings, honoring their sacrifice in the ongoing struggle for freedom and justice.

Call for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic

The demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and the establishment of a democratic government.
