Rally in Stockholm Urges End to Iran’s Executions and Freedom for Political Prisoners

Stockholm, Sweden – October 10, 2025

Stockholm, Sweden – October 10, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered outside the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark the World Day Against the Death Penalty. The demonstrators condemned the Iranian regime’s ongoing executions and called for the immediate abolition of the death penalty, the release of all prisoners on death row, and accountability for the regime leaders responsible for these crimes.

Global Campaign Against Executions

Freedom-loving Iranians in Stockholm voiced their support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her call to expand the global “No to Executions” campaign.

Demanding Justice and International Accountability

Protesters urged the prosecution of the Iranian regime’s leaders for crimes against humanity in an international tribunal. They also called on the Swedish government to end its policy of appeasement toward Tehran and to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

Call for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic

The demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and the establishment of a democratic government.
