Gothenburg Rally Condemns Iran’s Death Penalty, Voices Support for Resistance and Democratic Change

Supporters of the Iranian Resistance rally in Gothenburg, calling for an end to executions and freedom for political prisoners.
Gothenburg, Sweden – November 1, 2025Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating use of the death penalty, particularly against political prisoners.

The event called for the complete abolition of capital punishment in Iran and the unconditional release of all political prisoners, especially those facing imminent execution.

Organizers also urged that senior regime officials be held accountable before an international tribunal for crimes against humanity.

The rally supported NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi‘s “No to Executions” campaign for global expansion, while reaffirming calls for regime change toward a secular, democratic republic—rejecting both theocracy and monarchy—and expressing support for MEK Resistance Units inside Iran fighting for justice.
