Rally in Gothenburg Condemns Executions and Supports the Iranian Resistance

Gothenburg, Sweden – November 8, 2025

Human Rights Violations and the Death Penalty in Iran

Gothenburg, Sweden – November 8, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally to condemn the Iranian regime’s extensive use of the death penalty as a grave violation of human rights, particularly the execution of political prisoners.

Participants emphasized that the death penalty in Iran has become a tool of repression aimed at silencing dissent and instilling fear among the population.

Calls for Justice and Accountability

The rally demanded the complete abolition of capital punishment in Iran and the unconditional release of all political prisoners, especially those facing imminent execution.
Organizers urged that senior officials of the Iranian regime be brought before an international tribunal to face justice for crimes against humanity.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of international pressure and legal accountability to end the regime’s systematic violations of human rights.

Support for Maryam Rajavi’s Democratic Vision

Participants expressed strong support for NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi‘s “No to Executions” campaign, urging its global expansion. They reaffirmed their commitment to a democratic, secular republic in Iran—rejecting both theocracy and monarchy—and voiced solidarity with MEK Resistance Units inside the country striving for freedom and justice.

The demonstrators also endorsed Mrs. Rajavi‘s 10-point plan, which presents a comprehensive vision for a free, democratic, and secular Iran based on respect for human rights, equality, and the rule of law.
