Cologne Rally Marks Student Day and Condemns Executions in Iran

Cologne, Germany – December 5, 2025

Cologne, Germany – December 5, 2025: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally in Cologne to commemorate Student Day and to condemn the surge in executions carried out by the ruling regime in Iran. Freedom-loving Iranians also protested the regime’s escalating use of the death penalty, particularly against political prisoners, and the event voiced strong support for the growing “No to Execution” campaign.

Honoring student martyrs

During the rally, photos of Ahmad Ghandachi, Mehdi Shariat Razavi, and Mostafa Bozorgnia, university martyrs of December 7, 1953, were displayed alongside images of Iranian students who are political prisoners currently facing long-term imprisonment sentences and death penalties for their activism, such as 22-year-old Tabrizi student Ehsan Faridi who is under a death sentence.

At the rally, an image of imprisoned activist student Ehsan Faridi—who faces a death sentence—was displayed.

The exhibition also featured photos of student martyrs from the 2022 uprising, highlighting the continuity of the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom across generations.

Supporting the “No to Executions” campaign

The event expressed support for the initiative of NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi to expand the “No to Executions” campaign on an international scale. Participants affirmed their commitment to democratic change in Iran—rejecting both theocracy and monarchy—and voiced strong support for MEK Resistance Units inside Iran who are working toward freedom and justice.
