
Protest Against Iran’s Use of the Death Penalty
Stockholm, Sweden – November 29, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in front of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating use of the death penalty, particularly targeting political prisoners. Participants emphasized the leading role of Iranian women in the organized resistance movement, rallying under the slogan “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”
Calls for Release of Political Prisoners and Accountability
The demonstrators called for the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners and demanded that senior Iranian officials be held accountable for crimes against humanity. They also urged that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be recognized as a terrorist organization, pressing the Swedish government and the European Union for stronger actions against the regime.
Advocacy for a Secular, Democratic Iran
Speakers reaffirmed the Iranian people’s aspiration for a secular, democratic republic, rejecting both the mullahs’ theocracy and any return to monarchy. They highlighted the importance of MEK Resistance Units and the right of the Iranian people to defend themselves in their struggle for justice and freedom.
