MEK Supporters Rally in Gothenburg

Gothenburg, Sweden – December 20, 2025 – Iranian supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Gothenburg to express their backing for democratic change in Iran. They reaffirmed their commitment to Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as the only viable democratic alternative to the current theocratic regime.

Support for Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan

Participants voiced strong support for Maryam Rajavi as the leader capable of guiding Iran toward freedom and democracy. They endorsed her Ten-Point Plan, which lays out a clear framework for:

  • Popular sovereignty

  • Separation of religion and state

  • Equality between women and men

  • Abolition of the death penalty

  • Full respect for human rights

Condemning Executions and Honoring Political Prisoners

Attendees firmly denounced the Iranian regime’s growing wave of executions, particularly those targeting political prisoners. They expressed solidarity with the nationwide “No to Execution” movement, paying tribute to the bravery and perseverance of political prisoners who continue to fight for freedom and justice despite harsh repression.

Rejecting All Forms of Dictatorship

The participants also rejected any form of dictatorship—clerical or monarchical. They reiterated the call of “No to the Shah, No to the Mullahs,” emphasizing that Iran’s future must rest on democracy, human rights, and the sovereign will of its people.

Calls for International Action

Speakers at the event urged governments to adopt firm measures against the Tehran regime, including designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and shutting down the Iranian embassy in Sweden. They stressed the need to hold the regime accountable for its ongoing human rights abuses.

A Unified Call for Global Solidarity

The gathering concluded with a unified appeal for international support of the Iranian people’s struggle against tyranny and recognition of the MEK’s Resistance Units as a vital part of the nationwide campaign for freedom, dignity, and democracy in Iran.
