Hamburg, Germany – December 16, 2025 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Hamburg to condemn the Iranian regime’s escalating use of the death penalty, particularly against political detainees, and joined in the nationwide “No to Execution” campaign.
Highlighting Individual Cases and Urgent Appeals
Protesters specifically called attention to political prisoners Mohammad Javad Vafaei-Sani and Ehsan Faridi, who are facing imminent execution, as well as 15 other MEK supporters currently at risk of death sentences. Demonstrators called on the United Nations, the German government, and the international community to take immediate action to protect these prisoners.
Global Campaign Against Executions
Iranians also expressed support for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and her call to expand the global “No to Executions” campaign worldwide.
Call for Regime Change and a Democratic Republic
Demonstrators reaffirmed the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic republic, rejecting both religious dictatorship and any return to monarchy. They emphasized the importance of recognizing the Iranian Resistance and supporting the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran in their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and the establishment of a democratic republic.
