MEK Supporters Gather in Gothenburg

Gothenburg, Sweden – December 13, 2025 – Iranian supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Gothenburg to voice their support for democratic change in Iran and to reaffirm their backing of Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as the only viable alternative to the ruling theocracy.

The rally coincided with Maryam Rajavi’s presence at two important conferences in the European Parliament, where she presented her vision for a secular and democratic republic in Iran.

Support for Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan

Participants declared their support for Maryam Rajavi as their choice to lead Iran toward freedom and democracy and endorsed her 10-point plan, which sets out a clear roadmap for:

  • Popular sovereignty

  • Separation of religion and state

  • Equality between women and men

  • Abolition of the death penalty

  • Full respect for human rights

Condemning Executions and Honoring Political Prisoners

Demonstrators strongly condemned the Iranian regime’s escalating use of executions, particularly against political prisoners, and expressed solidarity with the nationwide “No to Execution” campaign. They also paid tribute to the courage and resilience of political prisoners and honored their ongoing struggle for freedom and justice.

Rejecting All Forms of Dictatorship

The gathering also rejected all forms of dictatorship, whether clerical or monarchical, underscoring the message of “No to the Shah, No to the Mullahs,” and stressing that Iran’s future must be based on democracy, human rights, and the will of its people.

Calls for International Action

Speakers at the rally called on the international community to adopt firmer policies toward Tehran, including blacklisting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and closing the Iranian embassy in Sweden, to hold the regime accountable for its systematic human rights violations.

A Unified Call for Global Support

The event concluded with a unified call for global support for the Iranian people’s right to resist tyranny and for recognition of the MEK’s Resistance Units as part of the struggle for freedom, dignity, and a democratic Iran.
