Berlin, Germany — January 16, 2026 — Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally outside the Bundestag in Berlin to express solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran that began on December 28, 2025. Participants echoed the call of their compatriots inside Iran for a free and democratic republic.
Demonstrators condemned the ongoing massacre of protesters and political prisoners in Iran, demanding the immediate release of detainees. They urged the German government and the European Union to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, impose sanctions on the regime’s perpetrators, and support the Iranian people’s legitimate resistance by referring the clerical regime’s crimes to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Participants carried banners and portraits of the martyrs of the uprising, along with slogans reflecting the demands resonating across Iran, including “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!” They also voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as the democratic alternative to the ruling regime.
The rally sent a powerful message to the international community to stand with the people of Iran—not with any form of dictatorship—and to support their ongoing struggle for justice, freedom, and a democratic republic.
