Gothenburg, Sweden — January 10, 2026 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) once again gathered in Gothenburg to show solidarity with the ongoing nationwide protests inside Iran. Defying freezing, snowy weather, participants chanted anti-regime slogans and voiced their support for their fellow Iranians rising up against tyranny.
Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free, democratic republic in Iran and rejected all forms of dictatorship—both monarchical and theocratic. They held images of those killed in the uprising and carried banners reflecting the protesters’ demands in Iran, such as “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!”
The rally sent a clear message to the international community, urging governments and institutions to stand with the people of Iran—not with any form of autocracy—and to support their continuing struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy.
