Hamburg, Germany — January 17, 2026 — Once again, despite the snowy and subzero temperatures, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally to express solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran that began on December 28, 2025. Braving the freezing weather, participants echoed the call of their compatriots inside Iran for a free and democratic republic.
Demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic in Iran, rejecting all forms of autocracy—whether monarchical or theocratic. They held pictures of the martyrs of the uprising and carried banners echoing the demands of protesters in Iran, including “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs.”
The participants also placed red roses in front of the pictures of the martyrs of Iran’s nationwide uprising as a gesture of respect and a symbol of their pledge to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the mullahs’ dictatorial regime
The rally sent a powerful message to the international community to stand with the people of Iran—not with any form of dictatorship—and to support their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy. They also called for Khamenei and the regime’s leaders to be prosecuted in international courts for crimes against humanity.
