London, United Kingdom — January 14, 2026 — Once again, freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered outside the British Prime Minister’s Office in London to express solidarity with the nationwide protests in Iran that began on December 28, 2025.
A Unified Call for Freedom and Democracy
The rally brought together representatives from various Iranian communities in the UK, including exiled academics, members of the Association of Iranian Women, youth organizations, and the Iranian Lawyers’ Committee. Participants expressed support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the PMOI, condemning the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on protesters.
Citing figures released by the Iranian Resistance, speakers reported the killing of more than 3,000 demonstrators in recent weeks, describing it as a crime against humanity.

Condemning Dictatorship in All Forms
The demonstrators called for the establishment of a free and democratic republic, rejecting both monarchical and theocratic forms of dictatorship.
They carried images of the martyrs of the uprising and banners echoing the demands of protesters inside Iran, with slogans such as “Regime change in Iran by the people of Iran” and “No to the Shah! No to the Mullahs!”
Demands to the UK Government and International Community
Protesters urged the British government to adopt firm measures against Tehran’s repressive machinery. Their key demands included:

Designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

Closing the Iranian regime’s embassy in London and expelling its agents.

Recognizing the Iranian people’s right to legitimate self-defense against state repression.
Participants also warned against attempts by certain political groups to exploit the Iranian uprising for the benefit of remnants of the former dictatorship, emphasizing that they would not allow history to repeat itself or another authoritarian regime to emerge.

A Call for Concrete International Action
In their closing remarks, demonstrators highlighted that the IRGC continues to pursue unarmed protesters in the streets and even in hospitals. They called on the UK and other Western governments to move beyond statements of concern and adopt concrete actions, ending decades of appeasement toward Tehran’s rulers.
The rally sent a strong and unified message to the international community: to stand with the people of Iran—not with any form of dictatorship—and support their ongoing struggle for freedom, justice, and democracy.
